R. David Nathan

R. David Nathan, 84, of West Orange died July 3, 2012. He had lived in South Orange before moving to West Orange seven years ago.

Mr. Nathan was vice president of advertising with Shaller-Rubin and Jack Poust and Company in New York City and at Giannetino and Meredith in Springfield.

He graduated from Rutgers University.

He served on the boards of EIES of New Jersey, Cerebral Palsy, Hospice, and the Essex County Child Placement Review Board. He was a lifelong member of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, Short Hills.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patti; two daughters, Amy Nathan of Washington, DC, and Linda Nathan of Hull, Mass.; his son, Andrew of Westerly, RI; a brother, Joseph; and four grandchildren.

Services were held July 5. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice, Livingston, NJ 07039.
