Bad seeds
This is just weird: B’nai Brith Canada is protesting the sale of sunflower seeds featuring a classic anti-Semitic image:
According to a B’nai Brith Canada release, the seeds are distributed by the U.S.-based AHT International and sold in retail outlets. The organization said AHT declined to halt sales of the seeds despite protests.
The packaging lists the company’s address as Brooklyn, NY, and the phone number as 718-621-4000. Can anyone out there tell us what the Cyrillic words on the package mean?

A friend of mine says: “The left side says “Shalom from Israel.” As for the right side, this may be an idiom I’m not familiar with but the literal translation is “spit everywhere” (i.e. – the shells from the seeds?)”

The left side does seem to say “Shalom from Israel.” (Шалом из Израиля)The right side also contains the word spit (везде). (I used Google Translation.)
Is it possible — and how’s this for “judging to the side of merit” — that whoever packaged this considers Israeli-made seeds a selling point, and tried to find an illustration that proclaimed “Israeli” or “Jewish”? You know — the same we we use an awful Irish caricature for Lucky Charms or Aunt Jemima for pancakes. That doesn’t make it any less anti-Semitic in the end, but the intent is a little more benign.

This sunflower seeds package was produced in Moscow by the company Kremlin Kitchen (letter M on top means Moscow, KK is for Kremlin Kitchen)
This package has nothing to do with jews or Israel.
Portraying a typical jew on the package is shameful and should be exposed like such!

The word on the right side of the package ВЕЗДЕПЛЮЙКА suggests a person who spits everywhere, meaning unclean dirty person. I wonder if it’s possible to bring charges against Moscow Kremlin Kitchen company and american distributor AHT who is owned by ethnic russians.
