There was a glut of books commemorating the final season of Yankee Stadium. Handsome coffee table volumes full of pictures and reminiscences. There was just one thing: None of them actually include any information about … the final season.
That said, the best of the bunch, in my humble opinion, is Harvey Frommer’s Remembering Yankee Stadium (Stewart, Tabori, and Chang). If you could only buy one book on the subject, this is the one.
The author will be at Books and Greetings in Northvale, NJ, on November 8 at 11:30 a.m. For information, call 201-784-2665.
