This week in the (Jewish) NFL
Houston Texans’ quarterback Sage Rosenfels made his second straight start in place of Matt Schaub. While he performed better than in the Nov. 9 41-12 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens in which he had four passes intercepted, his errant throw in the final seconds of the game sealed the deal against the Indianapolis Colts, 33-27, in Indy. Rosenfels completed 13 of 18 passes for 192 yards, but his pass during the team’s final desperate drive was picked by Melvin Bullitt with 38 seconds left to play.
Jacksonville Jaguars’ Adam Podlesh kicked a season-high 10 punts for 409 yards (395 net) in his team’s 24-14 loss to the unbeaten Tennessee Titans.
The San Diego Chargers’ Igor Olshansky made one tackle in the team’s 11-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. David Binn was the Chargers’ long-snapper for the game.
