I recently jumped the gun, in my haste to add another Jewish athlete to the NFL ranks. But after consulting with Shel Wallman, publisher and editor of the Jewish Sports Review, I regret to announce that Adam Goldberg, an offensive lineman for the St. Louis Rams, does not fall into the established qualifications for inclusion.
In an e-mail, Wallman writes, “Goldberg’s father is Jewish, but he was raised as a Christian by his mother. “
