As much as a sports fan as I am, and as much as my favorite teams and players have needed it over the years, I’ve never resorted to asking for Divine Intervention. I always thought there are more important things to worry about, in the grand scale of things.
But once in awhile you come across a story like this, about a Giants fan and his newly-rediscovered faith?
Now that they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, think he’ll go back to his old ways? Maybe even convert?
And why do announcers insist on referring to the team as “the New York football Giants?” Do they think folks will confuse them with the New York baseball Giants — who moved to California more than 50 years ago? Stop it, already.
