The Farmar in the recovery room

Ouch. Los Angeles Lakers’ Jordan Farmar injured his left meniscus in a Dec. 19 game in Miami and underwent surgery on Dec. 24. He sustained the injury against the Heat after he stole the ball and went in for a layup late in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 89-87 loss.

Farmar had been averaging 7.9 points and 2.4 assists in 19.6 minutes per game this season. Coach Phil Jackson said he didn’t expect his 6’2″ guard to return until some time in February.
