Playing catch-up
Three-day weekends are great, but they can put a crimp the the blogging-lifestyle. So let’s see what we missed recently:
- The New York Times ran a “30-second” interview with Ben Wildman-Tobriner, member of the Olympic gold medal swim team in the 400m freestyle relay and recent visitor to Israel on a Taglit-Birthright trip.
- Eastsideboxing.com offers this considered analysis of Benny Leonard, motivated, in part, by Mike Silver’s new book, The Arc of Boxing.
- Haaretz.com posted this opinion piece on the intrusion of the current Middle East situation on Israel’s soccer program.
- The Five Towns Jewish Times noted another Tamir Goodman appearance.
- The Brooklyn Daily Eagle published this tribute to the 1935-36 Long Island University men’s basketball team, which is due to be inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in April.
