The Maccabiah Games: Victim to the economic crisis?

Despite the worldwide economic meltdown, this summer’s Maccabiah Games will be the biggest ever, Jeanne Futeran, president of the Maccabi World Union, said on Tuesday.
The American contingent is expected to be around 1,000 athletes, each of whom will be spending around $7,000 for travel, lodging, etc., to partcipate in the Games, scheduled for July 13-23.
