JML Update, April 13

For the games of Sunday, April 12

On the ups: No one today.

On the downs: Craig Breslow hit the only batter he faced — who later came around to score — in the Twins 6-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Gabe Kapler was hitless in his only time up, dropping his average to .125 for the Tampa Bay Rays. Ryan Braun was hitless in three at-bats (with one walk) as his Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs, 8-5. That drops his batting average to .208.

Pareve: Kevin Youkilis hit his first home run of the season, but the Red Sox lost to the Angels 5-4. Youkilis is batting .522 for the young season. Ian Kinsler (.348) hit his second homer of the year,  a two-run job in the third inning to put the Rangers up 4-0 over the Tigers, but Detroit scored six times in the bottom of the eighth for the victory. Scott Schoeneweis retired his only batter as the Diamonbacks lost to the Dodgers, 3-1.
