J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!!!
Crisis averted, and right quick, too.
An email from Brian McCarthy, an NFL spokesman, informed the Korner that the starting time for the Jets Sept. 27 home game against the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 27 — erev Yom Kippur — had been changed from 4:15 to 1 p.m.
As a result of this schedule change, the Giants-Buccaneers game from Tampa and the Titans-Jets game will be televised head to head on different networks in the New York market starting at 1:00 PM.
Woody Johnson, Jets chair and CEO, was appreciate of the adjustment.
“By changing the time of the Tennessee game…, the NFL has provided the best compromise to resolve our scheduling conflict. I want to thank Commissioner Goodell and Howard Katz for quickly responding to our request to accommodate our fans of Jewish faith.”

Shouldn’t all games that day be played at 1 pm? I realize that NY has the largest concentration of Jews but all NFL cities have significant numbers. Of course, that would require the NFL to lose money and that will never happen.
