On the ups: Ian Kinsler (Texas Rangers) had two hits, including his fourth homer of the year, in a 6-5 win over the Royals. Kevin Youkilis (Red Sox) had a double, a walk and scored a run in the Red Sox’ 2-1 win over the Orioles.
On the downs:
Pareve: Ryan Braun went 0-4 as the Brewers beat the Mets 4-2. Scott Schoeneweis gave up a hit to the only batter he faced in the Diamondbacks’ 2-0 loss to the Giants
