MNF says “C-U” to TK
Tony Kornheiser, the host of Pardon the Interruption, former sports writer and columnist for The Washington Post, one of my favorite sports media personalities, and a notoriously fearful airplane traveler, has called its quits as a member of the Monday Night Football broadcasting team. Former NFL coach Joe Gruden will fill his position.
“My fear of planes is legendary and sadly true,” Kornheiser said in a statement released by the network. “When I looked at the upcoming schedule it was the perfect storm that would’ve frequently moved me from the bus to the air.”
