JML Update: Games of May 27

On the ups: Hey, it can’t be almonds and raisins every day.

On the downs: Ryan Braun (Brewers) has one hit in his last 13 at bats. He was hit on the wrist Tuesday night and left the game, but x-rays were negative.

Pareve: Craig Breslow (Athletics) struck out the side in the eighth inning, but his team still lost to the Mariners, 6-1. Gabe Kapler (Rays) had a two-run single in the first, but Tampa Bay was throttled by the Indians, 12-7. Ian Kinsler (Rangers) hit his 13th home run of the year, accounting for both runs in Texas’ 9-2 drubbing by the Yankees. Kevin Youkilis (Red Sox) was 0-2 with a walk and sacrifice fly as the Twins beat Boston, 4-2.

DNP: John Grabow (Pirates); Brad Ausmus (Dodgers); Jason Marquis (Rockies); Scott Feldman (Rangers)

Scott Schoeneweis (Diamondbacks) visited his team and went through a light workout yesterday, but remnains on the bereavement list. No date has been set for his return to action.
