Sports Illustrated draws outrage from Israeli military

Bar Rafaeli, who graced the cover of SI’s swiumsuit edition a few months ago, has come under fire, so to speak, from Retired Israeli Major-General Elazar Stern after the 23-year-old received an exemption from the nation’s otherwise mandatory stint in the armed forces, according to this piece from Eonline.

Rafaeli just happens to be on the cover of the June edition of Esquire magazine. Does anyone else wonder about the timing of Stern’s announcement? Hmm.
