Welcome to the Majors, Aaron Poreda

The newest JML is Aaron Poreda, a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. He received his call-up to the Windy City to take the spot of Bartolo Colon, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list on June 8.

Poreda, a22-year-old product of San Francisco, was promoted from the White Sox’s AA Birmingham Barons where he was 5-4 as a starter with a 2.39 earned run average in 64.1 innings. He is expected to work out of the bullpen for the time being.

Mazel tov, Aaron. Best of luck. Looking forward to your card in the Jewish Major Leaguer set next year.
