On the ups: Gabe Kapler (Rays) enjoyed a 2-3 night, scoring a run and driving in two more as Tampa squeaked by the Blue Jays, 10-9 on a walk-off win. Ryan Braun (Brewers) went 2-4 with a triple as Milwaukee beat the Cardinals, 5-4.
On the Downs: Ryan Sadowski (Giants) took his first loss of the season, allowing two earned runs on five hits and four walks in five innings against the Florida Marlins. The final score: Marlins 7, Giants 0.
Pareve: Kevin Youkilis (Red Sox) was 0-2 with two walsk and a run scored in Boston’s 5-4 win over the Athletics. Craig Breslow (As) allowed hits to the only two batters he afced in the game.
DNP: John Grabow (Pirates); Jason Marquis (Rockies); Scott Schoeneweis (Diamondbacks); Brad Ausmus (Dodgers); Aaron Poreda (White Sox); Scott Feldman and Ian Kinsler (Rangers; only the second game Kinsler has missed this year)
