Jets or Giants: Pick ‘em

I don’t know what the big deal is in this story from Bloomberg.com about this Sunday’s Jets and Giants  games.

The day of atonement and a rare good start for both of New York’s professional football teams will conspire to force the city’s sports fans to make a choice this weekend. The Jets’ and Giants’ games both start at 1 p.m.

This is the first time the two National Football League teams in the U.S.’s largest media market will play their games at the same time since 1984. They are usually staggered to help draw more television viewers.

What’s the big deal? Jets fans (and fans of their opponents) will watch the Jets game and Giants fans (ditto) will watch the Giants game. Just like the Mets-Yanks.

You can’t serve two masters.
