The 2008 World Champs have a shot at repeating, thanks to their win over the Los Angeles Dodgers (See? They should have played Brad Ausmus.)
Their current general manager, Ruben Amarao, Jr. (mother is Jewish). deserves a lot of credit for putting the team together and improving it over last year with the additions of pitchers Cliff Lee and Pedro Martinez, both of whom helped the Phillies down the stretch.
