Foreman, who’s studying to be a rabbi, became the first Israeli to win a major title when he defeated Daniel Santos by unanimous decision last night to take the WBA Super welterweight crown.
An elated Foreman told reports, “I’m very proud to do this for Israel, and for Brooklyn, and to show that Jews can fight.”
