Nice to see Jeff Halpern come back from his injury. I remember I started following his career with the Caps when I was still in college. We’re the same age pretty much, and the years have flown by, in that he’s already in the limelight of his career probably. He’s always been a very feisty and solid two-way player. Perhaps the pinnacle was when he was named Caps captain a few years back (ironically being traded shortly after). Well, I hope he still has some good years left in his body. I always would have liked to see him on the NY Islanders so I could follow him more easily, and they could use a player like him too. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that will ever happen.
Important goal. The Caps had won the last thirteen contests played between these two teams. Way to go, Bolts!
