According to this piece in The Wall Street Journal‘s sports section, action game play in football games takes about 11 minutes. Given that, I can’t understand why anyone would want to sit in a freezing stadium in December for a last-place team with nothing happening for 49 minutes.

Here’s the breakdown.

And they call baseball slow? Would love to see a comparison among the major sports.
