I haven’t been much into wrestling since I was about 12, despite attending the first 2 Wrestlemanias, so I understand the skepticism about Goldberg. Still, in his defense, he was an excellent college football player at the University of Georgia, and played for a bit in the NFL until injuries caught up with him. Given the lack of Jewish standouts on the gridiron, you can look at Goldberg as more of a football selection, with his wrestling prowess being an added bonus.
