Would anyone know if Peter Polansky of Canada is Jewish? Anybody I missed? One of the”problems” these days is that it’s difficult to tell — either way — by surname and information about a person’s faith is often not available, which may be a good thing.

  • Scott Lipsky and Jonathan Erlich are both playing in doubles.

  • Thanks, Bob. Any idea about the foreign players?

  • Not sure if Nicolas Massu is still around. He’s had some moments in Grand Slams, but his biggest feat would have to be the 2004 Olympics where he became the only player ever to win Gold in both singles and doubles, for Chile I believe.

  • If he’s around, he’s not participating in this year’s Open,.
