JML update: Games of Sept. 7
Ike Davis is on something of a tear. He hit his third home run in four games, a first-inning blast that gave the Mets three of their four runs in their 4-1 win over the Nationals. Jason Marquis did not appear in the game.

Scott Feldman (Rangers) made his return to the mound, but looked a bit rusty, taking his 10th loss of the year against six wins, quite a turnaround from his 17-8 season in 2009. He pitched 4.2 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits (2 homers), walking one and striking out four as Toronto won the game 8-5. Ian Kinsler was 0-5.
Ryan Braun (Brewers) was 1-4 with a run scored as Milwaukee beat the Cardinals, 4-2.
Danny Valencia is still MIA, resting his sore hamstring. Craig Breslow did not pitch in the A’s 7-5 loss to the Mariners. Brad Ausmus did niot play in the Dodgers’ 2-1 loss to the Padres.
And welcome back Sam Fuld, who was recalled yesterday by the Cubs.
Out of action: Gabe Kapler (Rays), Kevin Youkilis (Red Sox), John Grabow (Cubs)
