Jewps and Jice: Weekend update
Long layoff for the NBA All-Star game with no Jews involved (unless you’re desperate enough to count Amar’e Stoudemire). Omri Casspi and the Sacramento Kings return to action tonight against LeBron James and the 41-15 Miami Heat. Jordan Farmar and the NJ Nets have some extra time off. They don’t play until Friday against the San Antonio Spurs, which sports the best record in the league (as of today).
As for the Jice, the Montreal Canadiens’ Michael Cammalleri returned to the ice for the first in over a month, playing 12-plus minutes in a 4-0 loss to the Calgary Flames in the NHL Heritage Classic. Teammate Jeff Halpern played 10-plus minutes in the contest, which was held an outdoor rink at McMahon Stadium.
