Yasher koach to Ryan Braun who had a monster weekend that allowed him entry into the 30-30 club. The deal-maker came with his second shot in a 6-3 win against the Reds on Friday night. Braun had eight hits in 13 at bats, which pushed him past the Mets’ Jose Reyes into the lead for NL batting, .336 to .331. He also topped 100 RBIs for the fourth straight year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got the nod for NL player of the week, which will be announced later today.

Sam Fuld came into the Saturday win over the Red Sox as a defensive replacement in the ninth inning for his only appearance for the Rays over the weekend.
Scott Feldman pitched a perfect eighth inning in the Rangers’ 4-0 loss to the Mariners on Friday, retiring the three batters— one by strikeout — on just six pitches.

DNP: Kevin Youkilis missed all three games against the Tampa Bay Rays due to a combination of injuries. The Red Sox dropped two of the three and lead the AL wild card race by just two games over the Rays. Ryan Lavarnway also did not appear in any of the games against Tampa Bay. Josh Satin did not appears in the Mets-Braves series. John Grabow did not appear for the Cubs in their series against the Astros.
