Credit where credit is due: Tony Kornheiser

On a previous Pardon The Interruption, co-host Tony Kornheiser adamantly said the Chicago Bulls would beat the Philadelphia 76ers by 20-25 points. Obviously he was wrong as Philly won by 17. I was wondering if he would address his gaffe or just move on.

Well, Mr. Tony ate some humble pie on yesterday’s show, with a dollop of self-effacing humor.

Kornheiser: Eventually, I knew we’d have to get to the Bulls. Somebody on this show, and I don’t think we need to say who because that’s not important, but somebody on this, show, somebody, said the Bulls would beat the 76ers by 20 to 25 points last night.

Wilbon: You want to raise your hand? Can we see a show of hands or is that too late?

Kornheiser: That seems to have been not what happened. It is being reported that the 76ers actually won by 17. I think I will shut up now, Wilbon, and let you talk.

Good for you, Tony.
