If the Israeli team plays in the tournament at Roger Dean Stadium, apparently it starts on 9/19. Does that mean current MLB’ers won’t be able to play? (Youk, Braun, Kinsler)?
Unfortunately, it does. However, I believe — and I may be wrong — that when (!) Israel qualifies, those players will be allowed to participate in the WBC, which takes place during spring training. So it’s conceivable that Youk, Kinsler, Davis, etc. can be on Israel’s roster.
