In limited action…

Ike Davis was 0-4 as the visiting NY Mets broke their six-game losing streak with their 3-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Matt Harvey, the team’s No. 1 Draft pick in 2010, made a spectacular Major League debut, striking out 11 batters in just 5.1 innings, allowing just three hits and three walks, and even going 2-2 at the plate to pick up his first win. Have to admit I was a bit nervous when the D’backs put two on in the bottom of the ninth with their best hitter at the plate.

Craig Breslow did not appear in the game for Arizona.

Sam Fuld drove in both of the Tampa Bay Rays’ runs in their 6-2 loss to the host Baltimore Orioles. Fuld was 3-4 with a double and is batting .556 since his return to the team earlier this week.

Ryan Braun was 0-4 as the Milwaukee Brewers fell to the visiting Washington Nationals, 8-2.

Kevin Youkilis sprained his ankle in Wednesday’s 8-2 White Sox win over the Minn. twins. he’s listed as day-to-day. The White Sox begin a weekend series against the Rangers in Texas.
