Rough night for Ike Davis. He was 4-4 — in strikeouts — but the Mets still managed to win, 8-7 in 10 innings.
Ian Kinsler was 1-5 as the Texas Rangers fell to the LA Angels, 15-8. The Angels scored nine runs in the sixth inning. Scott Feldman did not appear in the game.
Danny Valencia was 2-3 with two RBIs to help the Minn. Twins defeat the visiting Chicago White Sox, 7-6. Kevin Youkilis was 0-3 with a walk and a strikeout for the Sox.
Craig Breslow struck out two of the three batters he faced as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the host Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-2.
Sam Fuld entered the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the host Baltimore Orioles. Overall he was 0-3 as the Orioles won, 4-3.
Ryan Braun did not appear in last night’s 8-7 Brewers’ win over visiting Houston Astros due to blisters on his left hand.
Michael Schwimer and the Philadelphia Phillies had the day off.
Jason Marquis gets the start tonight as the San Diego Padres face the juggernaut Cincinnati Reds, who have won 10 of their last 11 games.
