* Jewish Baseball News posts some nice interviews, especially with minor league MOTs. Here’s one with Garrett Wittels and Corey Baker, teammates in the St. Louis Cardinals system. And another with Boston Red Sox prospect Zach Kapstein and one with Mets’ farmhand Jeff Kaplan (no relation that I know of). (JBN also has a pretty comprehensive list of Jews in pro ball).
* Here’s a profile from the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle on Haim Katz, president of the Israel Association of Baseball, which is preparing to send a team to the World Baseball Classic qualifiers in Jupiter, FL next month.
* The San Diego Chargers’ Antonio Garay is one of the more colorful characters in the NFL. He was injured during practice last week. Here’s hoping he’ll be back in action soon.
