JFL update, MNF edition

How could I have known when I turned off the San Diego Chargers-Denver Broncos game at halftime that I would miss one of the most exciting contests in recent years?

San Diego, a steady team which has a reputation among football pundits for “going to sleep” in the second half of the season, was leading 24-NOTHING at halftime. But The Broncos have a future Hall-of-Famer in QB Peyton Manning and scored two touchdowns int he third quarter. They were still trailing 24-21 with about nine minutes left and scored twice more for the improbable 35-24 win.

Once again, however, Antonio Garay was inactive for the game.

In other JFL News, here’s a nice profile on Geoff Schwartz, a new member of the Minn. Vikings,  from the Twin Cities Pioneer Press.
