Daintily swaying in the wind
The grand sight of autumn trees,
Just seeing the beauty of it all
Makes me feel at ease.
The cool breeze blows at my hair
The air so crisp and clear
A single leaf falls off a branch
I know that Fall is here.
Swiftly I begin to see
Less of sun’s bright light,
The moon is out most of the time
Daylight hours replaced by night.
Some are angry at the Fall
As it means the summer has ended,
They ignore the beauty that lies around them
I’m sure Fall feels offended.
If everyone would stop
The bickering and complaints,
They would open their eyes to see
The picture of splendor Fall paints.
The Fall means new beginnings
Maybe friends to take under your wing,
New friendships, new school year, new life ahead
What will all this new bring?
Soon, Fall comes to a hasty end
I hear the buzz of excitement for snow,
But I sit quiet, ready to wait
For the next Fall breeze to blow.
