AMIT nurtures and educates Israeli children to become productive, contributing members of society. Its more than 85 schools, youth villages, surrogate family residences, and other programs are located in 24 cities and communities throughout Israel, and provide a continuity of values-based, academic excellence from kindergarten through junior college. AMIT schools help each child reach his or her fullest potential, while obtaining the skills and knowledge to build a successful future.
While many of the children attending AMIT schools come from families living at or below poverty level, AMIT students reflect all Israel: religious and secular, Ashkenazi and Sephardi, Sabra and new immigrant. All students are welcome in AMIT’s educational environment, and tolerance, respect, and the unity of the Jewish people are basic tenets of AMIT’s philosophy. We are proud that more than 95 percent of our graduates serve in the Israel Defense Forces or perform national service.

The Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey is a collaborative philanthropy whose members are dedicated to empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, and strategic grant making.
The foundation brings together women of all ages and backgrounds, united by their Jewish values and their passion for creating a world in which women and girls grow up in healthy, supportive environments, with equal opportunity for economic, religious, social, and political achievements.
Membership dues create an endowment, the earnings from which are granted to organizations for projects that advance the status of women and girls, ensuring that they have the opportunity to realize their full potential.

Life Changes...We Can Help The Linda & Rudy Slucker NCJW Center for Women (CFW) provides free and low-cost services for women and children. We offer support groups, workshops, legal and financial guidance, and a teen dating abuse prevention program for high schools and community groups. For women seeking to re-enter the workforce, we offer comprehensive back-to-work assistance, including computer classes, resume and interview help, job leads, and career counseling. For women who qualify, we even supply work-appropriate clothing. Our services are available at a low cost to any woman and free to women who meet the state's criteria for "displaced homemaker" - a woman re-entering the workforce suddenly or unexpectedly due to death or disability of a spouse, divorce, separation, or a spouse's military deployment. Please see our website for up-to-date program listings. CFW is operated by National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section.

NCJW is an organization of hands-on volunteers inspired by progressive Jewish values. With nearly 3,400 members, the Essex County Section is the country's largest. Our board, executive committee, professional staff, committee chairs, and hundreds of active volunteers work collaboratively to fund and implement community-oriented projects. We run the annual Back 2 School Store, where children in need "shop" for brand-new clothes and supplies in NCJW's one-day-only "store." Our trained volunteers go into high schools to educate students about teen dating abuse. Our Linda & Rudy Slucker NCJW Center for Women provides free and low-cost services to meet a variety of needs, and the NCJW Volunteer Network matches individuals with local volunteer opportunities. Our community Lunch & Learn programs and annual Wonder of Women Film Festival are always sell-out events, and we offer a variety of social and inspiring programs for members. Please check our website for up-to-date event listings.
