Temple Shalom Religious School offers an exciting, integrated spiraling curriculum that includes studies in Jewish values, Torah, Jewish holidays and festivals, Israel, prayer and God, Hebrew, and more. Classes are available for kindergarten through 12th grade (membership not required until third grade). Each year, our teachers guide our students as they add on to their knowledge of Judaism through discussion, multimedia, and hands-on activities. Our students learn in a warm, nurturing Jewish community that creates lifelong friendships and lasting connections.
The objectives for our students include finding joy in living a Jewish life; identifying with the greater Jewish community here, in Israel, and throughout the world; developing a strong integration between home and synagogue; and understanding Jewish holidays and the calendar. Students learn biblical stories, Hebrew as a living language, and prayer. Our students learn to put Jewish values into actions and decisions which promote Justice, freedom, and peace.

The goal at Temple Shalom Religious School is to instill in students a strong Jewish identity. Students in grades pre-K-12 learn Jewish values and ethics through Torah study. Also included in the curriculum are units on Israel, holidays and festivals, modern history, Jews in other lands, life cycles, and, of course, Hebrew.
In 2011, the religious school is introducing a new schedule to better meet the needs of our community. All grades pre-k-seven will now meet during one session on Sundays from 9:30 to noon. The remainder of our religious school schedule can be found on our web site.
Students regularly participate in Shabbat and holiday services and programs focusing on social justice and topics of current Jewish interest. The high school program provides an educational as well as a social setting for teens.

Tradition, values, mitzvot, customs, Israel, Torah, history, and Hebrew are at the core of the curriculum at the Linda and Rudy Slucker Religious School at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel. The school's mission is to provide a comprehensive k-12 Jewish education through a supplementary school program. We strive to make the learning experience relevant and enjoyable through a multi-disciplinary approach that includes music and art. Our primary grade students visit their own "Little Library," and next year our third through sixth graders will have access to the new Hebrew immersion classroom. We pay careful attention to the individual learning needs of each of our students. Our dedicated learning center serves our students with special needs, and supports the success of all our students. Our teachers and staff are innovative, enthusiastic, creative, and caring. We stay connected with our community of parents and students through carefully crafted family education programs, Shabbat dinners, and family-friendly Shabbat and holiday experiences throughout the year.
Grades k-six meet on Sunday mornings. Grades three-seven attend on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoon. Grades eight-12, including out 10th grade Confirmation class, meet on Tuesday evenings. Temple membership is required for religious school attendance (non-temple members can attend for one year in grades k-two).

The Iris Family Center offers an exceptional family-friendly program of Jewish early childhood education for children ages two through five. The play-based individualized program focuses on each child’s distinct developmental needs and promotes a positive, secure, and accepting environment in which each child can explore and grow.
The pre-school also features its Toddler Time program for children ages 16 to 24 months, with their caregiver. This one-hour weekly class introduces children to the rhythms and routines of the preschool day.
Morning academic pre-kindergarten is for those who miss the public school kindergarten cut-off date, or those children who would benefit from an additional year before kindergarten. A full-day option can be created by taking advantage of our afternoon enrichment programs.
During the summer, the Iris Family Center offers a seven-week long Fun in the Sun program, half-days, for children between the ages of two and five.

The Temple Sha’arey Shalom Pre-school is proud to be a nurturing "home" to the young children of our community. We create an atmosphere where socialization skills are encouraged and where pre-schoolers are able to discover their world in a safe, secure, and happy environment.
Our pre-school curriculum follows the guidelines of the Union for Reform Judaism, which offers units of study which stress an early approach to the teaching to Judaism. It also allows children to actively and creatively experience life through non-secular activities. All teachers attend workshops throughout the year.
Our pre-school is made up of classes for two, three, and four-year-old children with a low student-teacher ratio. This gives the students the individual attention they all deserve. Each classroom is led by certified, qualified, and caring teachers. Our programs include Early Care, a Giant Steps Enrichment Program -- extending a child's school day, after-care, and parenting workshops.

The Pre-School of Adath Shalom offers full day and half day programs two to five days a week. Hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our children range in age from 18 months to five years old. We stress a "whole child" approach with the focus on the learning process rather than the final product. Daily schedules encompass activities that build feelings of self-worth and independence. Our curriculum is a journey of learning with each child reaching their destination at their own pace. Our school encourages children to learn with Jewish customs and traditions while building a positive Jewish memory. Our facility is located in a private and beautifully landscaped setting with loads of outdoor space. We look forward to meeting with you and your child.
